PROGRAM POLICIES

Kids, Mommy/Daddy + Me & Adult Classes

These few guidelines help every class feel smooth, safe, and fair for all of our families.

SAFETY

 

  • In Mommy/Daddy + Me, children stay with their parent or guardian at all times.

  • Our teachers are not able to supervise individual children during this class, so your child's safety and participation are in your hands.

  • We invite everyone, little ones included, to help tidy the toys at the end of class. It builds lovely habits and gives our teacher time to sanitize the room before the next group arrives.

ATTENDANCE AND MAKE-UPS

  • Coming regularly is part of what makes a class work, and we know life happens. If you cannot make it, please let your instructor know ahead of time.

  • For Kids (ages 4 to 10) and Mommy/Daddy + Me, we offer two make-up classes per session. Make-ups depend on availability and need to be scheduled in advance. To set one up, just email us and we will place you in the next open class.

  • Please note that all makeup classes must be scheduled within the current session and do not transfer to future sessions.

A note for our adult learners: because the Adult Conversation Hour meets just once a week, there is no other class within the same week to step into, so we are not able to offer make-up classes for the adult class. Coming each week is the heart of the experience, and attendance is in the hands of each student. We share this from the very beginning so it is clear what to expect.

REFUNDS AND CREDITS

  • For longer absences due to serious illness or the unexpected, we can apply a credit for up to five missed classes toward a future session.

  • If you need to withdraw before a session begins, we may offer a credit toward a future session when you let us know in good time.

  • Credits are good for 12 months.

  • The $25 registration fee is non-refundable.

STAYING HEALTHY

​

  • Children should be fever-free, without medication, for 24 hours before coming to class.

  • Please stay home if your child has a contagious illness, vomiting, diarrhea, or any symptoms that could spread to others.

  • If a child seems unwell during class, our teachers may kindly ask that they be picked up.

BEHAVIOR

​

  • We care deeply about keeping every class positive, respectful, and safe.

  • If a child's behavior repeatedly disrupts the class or affects safety, our teachers will talk it through with you to find a good solution together.

  • If disruptions continue, a child may be removed from the class or program at our team's discretion, and we may offer a credit depending on the situation.

PHOTOS AND VIDEOS

​

  • We may occasionally take photos or short video clips during class, for learning or to share a little of what we do.

  • If you would rather your child not be photographed, just let us know in writing at info@thespanishplayhouse.com and we will make sure their privacy is respected.

ARRIVAL, PICK-UP, AND PRIVACY

​

  • Please arrive no more than five minutes before your class, so the group before you has privacy and time to transition.

  • Please pick up your child right at the end of class.

  • Every class and private lesson deserves its own time and privacy. Thank you for helping us protect that for one another.
