Our Morning Spanish Immersion Studio is a warm, intentional experience rooted in childhood, culture, and connection.
Shaped by our Dominican roots, our love of the arts, and the warmth of a multigenerational Latino home, Spanish is simply part of everyday life here.

Spanish is woven naturally into life at the Playhouse through conversation, music, stories, traditions, celebrations, and everyday moments. Shaped by our Dominican roots and the warmth of a multigenerational Latino home, children experience language together with the culture, connection, and sense of belonging that give it meaning.

Childhood Through
the Arts
We believe childhood should be filled with music, imagination, movement, beauty, and creativity. Our mornings include theater, painting, dance, singing, storytelling, instruments, and open-ended play, all naturally experienced in Spanish, with weekly private piano lessons adding another special layer to our musical life.

Growing With Confidence
Children are given the time and space to do more for themselves, from caring for their belongings and helping with everyday routines to making choices, solving small problems, and caring for one another. With warm guidance and plenty of patience, they gradually build independence, responsibility, and the quiet confidence of knowing, “I can do it.”
A SIGNATURE OF THE PLAYHOUSE
Performing Arts
Music, theater, dance, and painting fill every day, all in Spanish. A child who is busy singing a song or painting a picture stops worrying about getting the words right, and the Spanish slips in on its own. We have watched it happen with hundreds of children at the Playhouse.
Throughout the year, each child has a chance to perform. At our family events and Spring Recital, the children take the stage to share the piano and vocal pieces they've been working on.

The Playhouse
Our two-story home draws on the charm of the rustic Spanish countryside, with a warm, neutral palette and natural materials chosen so every corner invites a child to explore. Inside, children move between a creative arts space, a sensory discovery zone, a cozy reading nook, an active play hub, and a performance area. Outside, a mud kitchen and garden give them room to dig, pour, and run.
WHY EARLY IMMERSION WORKS
The bilingual advantage
Child development researchers describe early childhood as the prime window for language learning, when the brain is most able to absorb a second language. The Day Program meets children right inside that window, through immersion and the arts, so they gain real fluency and the stronger thinking skills that come with it. Spanish is the second most spoken language in the United States, and that is only growing.
